Dry Dashing Aggregates available from Rowebb Depots
At Rowebb we are known for our extensive range of drydash aggregates and we offer a range of colours to suit most requirements. These products have been carefully sourced from quarries and producers with an emphasis on the quality of the product and the longevity of the source material. We offer a chip matching service and can prouce special blends for specific contracts if required. All our dashing aggregates are available in mini bags with a selective amount available in bulk bags, ask our staff for details.
RUST STAINING - Some of the aggregates used as drydash finishes may contain 'impurities' which can lead to staining of the render. Individual pieces of the aggregate having iron content can 'burst' and stain the background when exposed to the elements.
While the integrity of the render remains unaffected, these blemishes can be unsightly, particularly on light coloured backgrounds. These blemishes can be treated through the removal of the offending particles and the application of a light acid wash to the render.
Unfortunately there is no easy remedy to resolve this issue. All of these yellow/brown gravels or flints are susceptible to this problem.
Many of our customers have requested that the products affected are not removed from our range as the colours are so unique. To satisfy this request all we can do is highlight this issue and let the customer accept the risk or to choose an alternative product unaffected by this issue.
